A fresh start: helping a client regain control of her attic
Nancy had always kept her home neat and organized—including her attic, which held years of memories and treasured keepsakes. But as chronic back pain set in, she found it harder to manage the clutter herself. Feeling frustrated, she reached out to us for help.
The challenge: chronic back pain
For years, Nancy’s attic was where she kept everything—seasonal decorations, home décor, family mementos, and more. But as her back pain worsened, keeping it organized became a challenge. She needed someone who could handle the physical tasks while still honoring her connection to the space and her memories.
The solution: easy to maintain categories
We started by sorting through the attic with her, making sure to listen to what she wanted to keep and what could go. We helped with the heavy lifting, organizing everything into categories and setting up easy-to-use, well-labeled storage solutions. The goal was to make it functional and easy for her to maintain without overloading her physically. Through every step, we made sure Nancy felt involved and comfortable, turning her attic into a space she could enjoy again. She probably didn’t expect that we would all laugh so much together, but that often happens!
The results: just as she wants it
The transformation was incredible! Nancy’s attic became clean, organized, and accessible, making her feel relieved and proud of the space again. She was so happy with the results – and the fun we had that day – that she asked us to help with more projects—closets, holiday decorating and even spaces at her kids’ homes.
